Fiori di Como

I feel like I'm cheating a bit by featuring this photo, since I've featured it on my other blog for another meme before. But, it's never been shown here before, so I'll get over that fleeting feeling and post it.

Today's Manic Monday theme is "Colorful". Three years ago we traveled with a group of friends to Las Vegas over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The ceiling of the lobby of the Bellagio Hotel features an art installation by Dale Chihuly, a famed artist who works in blown glass. The project is titled Fiori di Como. You can see more photos and read more about it here.

If you find yourself in Las Vegas, be sure to pop into the Bellagio Hotel and look up when you're passing through the lobby. It's colorful, and gorgeous. And I can't believe it's been three years already since I took this photo.

I'm participating in Manic Monday today with the theme of Colorful.

  2. I've stayed at Bellagio and saw this also - Beautiful! This artist has also done this for Holland America's Westerdam in their dining room.

  3. This is really cool! I always try to notice ceilings (especially high ones) in every building... you just never know when something like this will be up there!

    Thanks for sharing :-)
