@Shinade -- The "Listen Now" feature is pretty freaky the first time you listen to it, isn't it?
@Jo -- You can't see it very well in this photo, but we used the drill because we needed the holes to be the precise size of the bolts we were attaching to the side of the pumpkin's head. All the pumpkin's scars made me think of Frankenstein's monster, so we attached head bolts (instead of neck bolts) to enhance the Frankenstein effect. Unfortunately, the pumpkin's eyes and mouth look more Vampire. A mish-mosh of monters. :)
That is some serious pumpkin carving...all the pumpkin surgical tools laid neatly out. THe previous pumpkin patients in the wings recovering from their "procedures." Very serious pumpkin carving, Haley!
I remember seeing this on your flickr and thinking, 'Wow, that's hard core... I'm glad I didn't attempt a pumpkin for the first time ever when I have no idea what I'm doing!'
@Karina -- LOL. I love that image. A surgeon's assembly line.
@Bob -- Thanks!
@Ms. O.D. -- Trepaning. A great way to describe it!
@fragileheart -- Power tools are not a requirement of carving pumpkins. The ideal tools are actually quite basic. Buy a kit at the store. The little saws and scraping tools are great.
