Faux Falling Leaves

The Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas has a really cool conservatory that is redecorated every season. When we visited in November 2005, it was decorated for autumn with these giant faux falling leaves suspended overhead. On the day we left, the staff was ripping out the autumn theme and starting to install a winter theme. It looked like a giant effort that would be achieved in a very short window of time. I wish I'd gotten to see the entire process.
I'm participating in Manic Monday today with the theme of Leaf.

  1. Wow those are amazing. Can you imagine storing those things? I'd love to see their Winter theme - go back! LOL

  2. That is very very cool! I would love to see that transition, too. It's probably very well choreographed... I might go to Vegas next month, I'll be sure to check it out!

  4. @Fragileheart -- The leaves are such a small part of the entire seasonal display. They must keep warehouses for all the props. And the flowers are gorgeous, too.

@Sadie -- I'll have to check my other photos from that trip. I'm pretty sure I took some of the tear-down process. The Bellagio is always a must-visit destination when I go to Vegas. Haven't been their since this trip, tough. It's probably getting to be time again.

@YummY! -- Thanks. It's even better in person. Incredible, actually.

Fun shot of the puppy for Ruby Tuesday, can't get mine to sit still very often.
