'Or half a page of scribbled lines'

And then one day you find
Ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run
You missed the starting gun
I've been hearing a lot of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon lately, what with the Roger Waters concert in September and with The Double Door Halloween bash a few weeks ago. That's probably why the song Time is resonating so much for me.
Every year is getting shorter
Never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to nought
Or half a page of scribbled lines
But then again, I think the song is universal and resonates with many people -- the whole idea of being young and frittering away time, then at some point realizing how quickly time is passing and trying to do everything, then getting older and slowing down again.

  1. Always liked the guitar solo to that song - perhaps Gilmour's best!
