Spring Blossom at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL

March of the Giant Ants (sculpture) at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL

All taken during a visit to the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL, over the weekend. See my entire Morton Arboretum set on Flickr.

  1. That flower is really beautiful! I wish I could climb on the ants.

  2. I'm afraid of rodents including squirels. Happy WW

  3. Great photos! Especially the flower.

Mine is up now. Hit me back if you can.

    Happy WW!!

  4. Re: Feeling Squirrely,
Does that mean you have been playing with nuts?

    (its the cough medicine)

This place looks very interesting indeedy.

  5. Nothing like a weekend filled with nature... squirrels, flowers and gigantic metal ants! lol Just kidding... they look like they would be fun to climb on if that's allowed!

I'm showing a bit of nature on my WW post today as well, but not quite as nice!

    Just Some Thoughts

  6. Those are FABULOUS photos!!! Thanks for stopping by my main blog. Feel free to drop by my Zookeeper blog

    Happy WW!

  7. @Daisy - Thanks! I think you'd have a lot of fun climbing on the ants. They're really tall and they look like they have lots of places for kitties to grab toe-holds.

@Hagar's Daughter - I love watching squirrels. But no worries for you on this one. I wasn't that close; I just had the big lens on the camera.

@Princess Vien - Thanks! I'll go hit you back now. :)

@Claire - That cough medicine is still going down easy, isn't it? And Re: Feeling Squirrely, there are never enough nuts!

@Marsha - I don't think people were allowed to climb. Or, at least, everyone was on their good behavior while I was there. I'm off to view your nature pics next!

@CastoCreations - Thanks! And I'm off to your Zookeeper blog next, too.
