Congratulations to Margaret Watson, who is a Rita finalist for best long contemporary with her book "Hometown Girl",
and to Susan Carroll, who is a Rita finalist for best long historical with her book "The Dark Queen". Both are members of my local writers group, Windy City.Also of note, Susan Elizabeth Phillips,
an extremely talented local writer, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from Romance Writers of America in Atlanta this summer.
